Rainey Mortuary Service regretfully announce the demise of Billy Ray Johnson of Elizabethtown, KY formerly of Tuscaloosa, AL.  Billy Ray Johnson traded time for eternity on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.  A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023, 2pm in the chapel of Rainey Mortuary Service.  Rainey Mortuary Service in charge of final care.

Billy Ray Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Lillian Haley Johnson; a sister Shirley Bruce Haley.

He is survived by two sons, Kendal Rainey and Tarus Johnson (Melissa); four daughters, Tiffany Johnson, Kimberly Rainey, Crystal Moss (Adrian) and Mara Smith; three brothers, George Haley, Leroy Johnson (Alisha)and Wade Johnson (Kimberly); four sisters, Jennia Outlaw (Stanley), Susie Haley-Davis, Cathy Hyche (Glen) and Claudette Johnson; 12 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
